The past decade was pretty rough for me; though I'm sure others had it worst.

I went to school for a few years and ended up thousands of dollars in debt with no job. I landed a steady job, but the bosses were toxic and I was miserable. I was let go and unemployed again. I applied to dozens and dozens of jobs, but nobody wanted me. I felt useless and became depressed.

Eventually I ended up in customer service; not an ideal job, but better than no job. My biggest 2019 disappointment was when I thought me and my friends could finally fulfill our dreams. But the contact we had into the entertainment industry.....was all a lie. It broke my soul into pieces.

Despite all the bumps in the road, every failure and mistake was a learning opportunity. I may not have gotten my dream job, but I gained valuable skills and experience. I made lasting friendships, even on the job I hated. Thanks to my friends, I'm getting way more freelance work now, than I ever did years ago. 

More importantly, it was the decade I started making NSFW art. I was very scared to try it out, but now I regret not having done it sooner. My art improved, I got to learn about myself, but more importantly, I felt accepted for being myself. My freaky, dirty, weird, kinky, geeky self. 

So, as we start over fresh for the 2020's, let's learn from the past so we're not doomed to repeat it. Let's not dwell on what could have been; let's focus on how we can continue to grow. Let's take value from even the worst situations.
